The WiPy comes with MicroPython firmware preloaded out of the box. If you'd like to upgrade to the latest firmware be sure to [https://docs.pycom.io/wipy/wipy/general.html#upgrading-the-firmware-over-the-air follow the official instructions]. At a high level the steps are:
* Connect to the WiPy board's wireless access point. See the [https://www.pycom.io/gettingstarted/ getting started instructions] for how to connect to the board.
* Download the [http://micropython.org/download/#wipy latest WiPy firmware file].
* Use a FTP client (like [https://filezilla-project.org/ Filezilla] but [https://docs.pycom.io/wipy/wipy/general.html#filezilla-settings note these special FileZilla configuration instructions]) to [https://docs.pycom.io/wipy/wipy/general.html#upgrading-the-firmware-over-the-air upload the firmware file to the board].
