== Introduction ==

The analog output works as voltage regulator, that means it needs input voltage (connected to AOV) and its ground (connected to AOG).
 +
 +
After prooviding voltage to the analog output, make sure to adjust the output voltage using the on-board trimmer precisely. Otherwise the output voltage will not match your desired voltage.

== Exemple ==
 +
Voici un exemple simple demontrant l'utilisation de la sortie analogique.
 +
 +
We recommend this steps:
 +
# Connect voltage and GND to AOV and AOG
 +
# Set desired voltage to eg. 7V (using your chosen software or PWM on the GPIO)
 +
# Using multimeter or UniPi's Analog Input and the on board trimmer, adjust the output voltage so it equals your desired voltage (e.g. 7V)
 +
 +
La version UniPi 1.1 a une fonction PWM direct pour controler la sortie analogique.
 +
 +
Cela signifie que:
 +
* Un signal PWM à 0% produit une tension de 0V
 +
* Un signal PWM à 100% produit une tension de 10V.

Below, see viring example of UniPi regulating its own 12V and measuring it using its Analog Input.

The 12V line is connected to the AOV. AI1- is the UniPi GND so it is connected to the AOG. AOV is the connector providing the Analog Output positive voltage which is connected to the AI1+. This way, you will see the your analog output directly on your analog input.
