The act of testing your system is called walk testing. First, the green LED of the Trinket should be on. If you use Bluetooth, ensure the computer is close by to monitor your work. A second person would be helpful at this point to avoid having to test then run to the PC to see what it did.

Une fois en place, il est important de faire un test systématique du système. Pour commencer, la LED verte du Trinket doit être allumée. Si vous utilisez Bluetooth, faites en sorte d'avoir votre ordinateur à portée de main pour surveiller l'état de la centrale de contrôle. Une seconde personne sera la bienvenue pour vous aider, cela vous évitera de devoir activer un senseur puis courir jusqu'à votre PC pour voir ce qui se passe.

Close all the doors/windows. If you have a motion sensor, stand still so it stops registering movement. The red LED on the Trinket should not blink and the Bluetooth serial monitor will indicate "Set". Now "trip" each sensor in turn and check that the correct number of blinks are displayed on the LED and the Bluetooth link states the correct indications on the PC. If everything is working, each sensor trip (or combination) will work as intended. If not, check your connections.

Fermer toutes les portes et fenêtres. Si vous avez {{pl|61|un senseur de mouvement}} (PIR) alors ne bougez plus pour éviter qu'il ne s'active. La LED rouge du Trinket ne devrait pas clignoter et la communication série via Bluetooth doit indiquer "Set".  

 

Maintenant, activez chacun des senseurs et vérifiez que la LED clignote du bon nombre de fois et que la liaison série via Bluetooth communique correctement le senseur activé. Si tout fonctionne comme attendu, chaque activation de senseur (ou combinaison de senseur) doit fonctionner comme attendu et rapporter l'alarme correspondante... sinon, il faut vérifier vos connexions.
